Awarded Breakout Family Entertainment Center of 2020-2021
ATLANTA, GA– Fun Spot Atlanta is thrilled to announce their first Golden Ticket Award for Breakout Family Entertainment Center 2020-2021. This category recognizes family entertainment centers that have made facility improvements, expanded or developed marketing strategies to grow attendance. The Golden Ticket Awards are conducted by the industry’s leading trade publication, Amusement Today. The panel consists of experienced and well-traveled amusement park fans from around the globe. The U.S. ballots are divided into 4 sections with equal amount voters. Voters are asked to rate the “best” in a variety of categories including best roller coasters, water slides, Christmas events, and more.
To support the growing park, the Admissions Ticket Booth received improvements along with the addition of a 30,000 square foot parking lot dedicated for rideshare companies, including updated parking logistics, additional shade structures, lights, and new park signage. New State of the Art Batting Cages, a Swing Around, Frog Hopper, and Carousel rides were added to the parks list of attractions.
Fun Spot’s ownership committed approximately $700,000 to ensure its food and beverage selection echoed the appeal of the attractions. Atlanta guests can choose from iconic brands like Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Dole Soft Serve, and Johnny Rockets which is scheduled to debut in Fall 2021.
Lastly, Fun Spot’s marketing team drew inspiration from these investments and created new campaigns to maximize return. The HUGE Halloween celebration featured Trick-or-Treating and a new “Fright Bites Menu” introducing items like Voodoo Chicken. The HUGE Christmas celebration offered guests Merry and Bright Christmas Lights, and the “Christmas Delights Menu”. Coupled with the new attractions and food and beverage developments, these marketing campaigns generated an attendance increase 118% over the previous year despite the pandemic.
